Please note that during the current corona virus crisis, Gainford & Langton Parish Council advise all allotment holders to fully comply with government advice regarding social isolation and keeping safe.
These are very difficut times and we also recognise the very real benefits of being outdoors, taking exercise and tending to your allotment.
The following is the most recent advice from the National Allotment Society…
“…as we understand the situation at the moment it is still permitted to visit your plot, to take daily exercise on their own or with members of your household. It is vitally important that you follow all the advice about social distancing and hygiene in the points below and not gather together on site.
Any plot-holder who is self isolating because a household member is ill with corona-virus should not be visiting the site.”

NEWS FOR 2021 BELOW TO READ
The allotments in Gainford are located to the south of the A67 on the eastern edge of Gainford. Access is next to the old St Peter’s site.
There is a barrier which allotment holders can park beyond.
There are full and half-plots.
Since early 2020 the Parish Council have taken over managment of the allotments.
Rent on all allotments is due in April and payments for 2021 should be paid either by Bacs or by cheque. This needs to be done due to the fact every tenant MUST have a Tenancy Agreement signed and a set of allotment rules.
Rents should be paid by the begining of May 2021.
After this date any allotment which hasn’t been paid for will be reallocated to someone from the waiting list. If you know you no longer want your allotment, please let the clerk know by email to this address email@example.com .
Contact the Clerk to get the Tenancy Agreement and Rules. Current restrictions means an electronic signiture on an email confirming agreement will suffice.
