We are delighted to share with you that, thanks to the dedicated care of our prescription volunteers, 853 prescriptions have now been delivered to some of the most vulnerable within our parish.
It is worth repeating and remembering that this figure represents a saving of 853 journeys made to the surgery to collect prescriptions. Decreasing the need for people to travel, attend and decreasing social contact.
A special mention to David & Sandra Pullen who have worked tirelessly coordinating the volunteers’ efforts, maximising efficiency and minimising risk. I count myself so fortunate to live in a community with people like David and Sandra. People like our volunteers who are prepared to increase the risk they are taking in order to decrease the risk for those more vulnerable.
When this is over, David, Sandra and all of our volunteers deserve our collective thanks. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
